New York State Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Association New York City Region, Districts 4 & 18 2009 EMS Week Recognition Dinner |
Our volunteer ambulance services, fire departments, and first response service providers were hard hit a little over seven-and-a-half years ago and are doing everything they can to recover and continue to serve various communities throughout our City, like they have for over 35 years. They have done this by providing supplemental emergency services to their communities and the City, and by serving as a training ground and entry point for many career emergency service personnel.
During the 2009 EMS Week, on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 7:00 PM, members of the Citys three dozen volunteer ambulance services, fire departments, and first response services will gather for the Eigth Annual Recognition Dinner at Russos On The Bay, in Howard Beach, Queens. The gathering will recognize those who provide their invaluable services to the City of New York every day as will as remember those who lost their lives while doing so. This year, we will celebrate with elected officials from around the City as well as high ranking officers from the Citys emergency services, to thank the volunteers for their heroic efforts each and every day on behalf of the Citys residents. I hope that you will join us as well, as a Sponsor and/or take a Journal Ad and be a participant at the event.
Very truly yours,
